KELLER GUERIN LUNEVILLE OLD STRASBOURG FRANCE DOMED CHEESE DEMI PORCELAIN RARE

Here's a Keller & Guerin Luneville Old Strasbourg domed cheese or butter. This has the K& G mark stating the piece is made of Demi-porcelain which dates it to the early 1940s. Previous incarnations of Luneville Old Strasbourg were faience, or French majolica. The good news about this is that they are lighter and hold up better than the faience. This piece is rare in any condition. It's nearly unheard of; I can't find another anywhere on the internet. Measurements:Height: 5" at top of finialDiameter: 6 7/8" domeDiameter: 9 1/4" plateCondition is very good. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. The finish is even & glossy. The rims are smooth. There is a very small amount of wear to the painted rim of the plate. There is crazing, mostly on the back of the plate, and most obvious on the sitting rim of the plate. I just found two incised lines on the rim of the plate. They aren't chips and appear to be from manufacturing. I also found a small scuff on the apple finial at about 10 o'clock in the closeup. They are so minor, I didn't notice them. They are shown in the last two photos. Considering age, this is fantastic shape. Please take a look at my other listings.
